Music from 'The Shining'

There is a song in this game that has the title song from the film "The Shining" in it. I think it's in the labyrinth of Crete.

Okay, now I know where it is. It's when you enter the room with the god machine and you are supposed to use the stonedisks to get it started.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Hah, LucasArts always has a pun somewhere.

It's so rare to find anyone these days that's still a fan of this game, that it's even weirder to find someone who found this exact little detail...

Ah, the memories. I wish I could find my talkie version. :(

"I don't remember asking you a God damn thing."

reply

Yeah haha it was that song, knew it.

"I'm gonna get medival on your ass!"

want to play Fate of Atlantis on xbox 360 or ps3?

write lucasarts! A lot of companies have been including "classic" versions of games, i.e. Ninendo re-releasing the Zelda games etc. I would LOVE to be able to play this game again, but when i do on my PC the game freaks out. I would love to see this game included as a bonus feature on the New Indiana Jones game that is going to be released in Summer of 2007. If you're with me, then write them a letter!

Actually, it was in Atlantis inner circle, when Sophia is possessed by Nur-Ab-Sal. The music is not from 'the Shining' originally; it is from Hector Berlioz's "Symphonie Fantastique".

"The Room of the God Machine" is my favorite track. And every conversion should sound like "Song du nuit du Sabbat". There are other music themes based on that piece, namely "heroes of might and magic 3 – Necropolis stage" and "the shining theme", but FoA was NOT based in Shining since it grabbed more notes from Berlioz than Shining had.
