Errors

It's been awhile since I saw this movie, but I remember when I did that I (and the friends I watched it with) noticed some really obvious camera errors, where a character was supposed to be naked, and it'd pan down just a little too far and you'd see that he was wearing underwear, or there'd be a glimpse of the boom mic or something. It was really distracting.

Was this intentional? I can't help thinking otherwise, but they did leave it in, so what's the story here? Anyone know?

maybe the underwear thing was intentional, but overall movies want NO trace of any film making objects, such as boom mikes and camera relections, in their movies, thats a big no no.

Keep in mind that the movie, part of it anyway, centers around the filming of porn movies and is a movie being made within a movie so the boom mics/cameras seen could have been part of the scene. If not, it is very expensive to re-shoot a scene or even part of a scene, especially with a smaller budget film, so they just leave it in. They do this in big budget films and TV shows too. The same holds true with the camera panning down and the actor that is supposedly naked has underwear on. The actor is the character making a movie and you are seeing 'behind the scenes' shots of the 'movie' being made. Just as in a real movie being filmed, the actors that are supposed to appear to be naked, really usually have on underwear, shorts or some kind of cover below the waist if the shot being used in the finished film is supposed to be kept above the waist.
