A question about nudity

This may sound a bit random, but this is the second film I have seen recently with pretty explicit child nudity in it, i.e actually having a child's penis on the screen.... (The other one is Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story), so my question is, is that kosher? I would have thought most directors would avoid doing that anyway....

"For when I was hungry you fed me, when I was thirsty you gave me something to drink"

I guess as long as it isn't used sexually? I dunno.

It is an independent film, filmed in Europe. Child nudity in films is fairly common in non-US productions.

That is true. And America doesn't seem to care either.(Hence Slumdog Millionaire was so well received) It's only nudity of American kids that is the taboo.

I guess I didn't see the penis! If you're referring to Tobo running naked in the rain, you've a better eye than I do because I was wondering as I watched if they could keep it concealed and I never saw so much as a bump with all the rain and cloud cover - and a fairly long camera shot once he was full length and not waist up as in the opening of the scene!
If there was another "penis scene", I didn't see it!

So you think the scene with Tolo running in the rain ... in the dark ... was explicit??? I think this film handled child sexuality accurately and honestly. Try to remember that this takes place in 1940 in rural Poland.
