Did anyone notice the massive blackhead in Julien Levades (Billy Crudup) ear during the scene where Charlotte and Julien start kissing passionately in the cellar where the German soldier was enjoying cheese and wine? I thought that in movies there are people (makeup?) who cover up this sort of thing. Perhaps this should be in the goofs section.

shareI don't know that that actually is a blackhead. It could be a skin imperfection - something like a small wart or just darker pigment in his skin (like a dark freckle).
In fact, after looking at it several times, I notice that there are about 4 small dark spots in his right ear and another one about an inch or so below his ear on his neck (not the large dark spot on his neck where the widest part of his jawbone is). None of them look (to me) to be really black - more of a dark brown.
