The reason why this show sucks is because it really is unrealistic, you have these kids, who pick do a sport, and then are immediately very skilled at it. C'mon, they did an episode with Street Luge, and it looks like the mastered it only after a few minutes. Also, the show also sucks because of the script, c'mon, it's a lame idea to begin with, who wants to see a show with extreme wanna-bes.

Well I don't exactly like Rocket Power either but I must say:

WHO CARES IF THE CARTOON IS UNREALISTIC!!!???

You should never ever judge a cartoon like that. Plus you should never judge a cartoon on its animation either. Rather you should judge a cartoon on its plot. Personally I find Rocket Power boring because alls they do is extreme sports. And yes the animation is ugly but basically nearly everyone cartoon on Nick (except Spongebob/All Grown up.) has terrible animation in my opinion. I mean Rocko's Modern Life animation was bad but I'm still obsessed with that cartoon. It has funny characters, a good plot, etc.

Plus there are thousands of unrealistic cartoons. Cartoons such as The Fairly Oddparents, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, the list goes on and on.

And also the characters may seem hateful (I read the comments on Rocket Power.) and it seems as though sometimes people say that a cartoon/show has hateful/likeable characters. You may not realize this but there is no such thing as a likeable/hateful characters. Rather some people would like the characters on a show/cartoon while others would hate them For example Bart Simpson has to be my favorite cartoon character ever, but my dad thinks Bart is a brat.

So basically it doesn't matter how unrealistic a cartoon is.

this site is called internet movie database- it's based around movies. not rocket power. i doubt there are alot of people who come here just to bash rocket power.

and to xcorp - the other shows that you mentioned like fairly oddparents, are meant to be unrealistic. rocket power isn't.

Wow. It's a CARTOON. It's a show meant for KIDS. I remember when it came out I LOVED this show. If you're dissing this cartoon show because it's unrealistic, then you should hate just about EVERY cartoon show there is out there. Wait, acually, you would hate just about every fictional televisoin show or movie out there. Get the hell over yourselves. It was a fun show that amused me as a kid.

And really, this show was on NIKELODEON. FOR KIDS. Just look at all the other shows Nick puts out. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Well, no need to worry about that anymore since they don't air it anymore.

anybody can learn a sport in two days, but you wouldn't be as good as the kids on Rocket Power. I'm athletic myself so i understand what you mean.

Rocket Power isn't fantasy, shows like Fairly odd Parents are.

The episode where Sam got hsi hand on a pole while skateboarding, he spinned like 10 times, the unrealistic part is that he could never spin 10 times because his hands aren't greesy. And how can the skateboard being attached to his feet for 10 spins without any glue or clittages.

WHO CARES?!
It's a show. More importantly, a FRICKING CARTOON! Of course when they can do what they want cuz its drawings, they'll make some stuff up to keep the show interesting. Do you honestly think people would watch this show if these kids were not insanely good at sports? No. That's what makes the show so good. It lets kids use their minds to motivate themselves into thinking that they could be just like them. I like the show, honestly. If you don't like it, don't not like it cuz they do things that normally aren't done. And don't post it here, cuz all cartoons have some unrealistic stuff.

A lot of things in TV and Movies are not realistic, especially when it's a cartoon. It is possible to do those sports when you're a young kid and to learn them fast is possible, too. When I was a kid, it was not impossible to go to the top of hill near my neighborhood and strap on some skates and just go for it. I did it all the time, and around 7 other kids, too.

You know what they can't outsource? balls...America will always lead the world in ball.

I agree...kinda. I agree about the reaso why it's unrealistic is because its a cartoon. But I disagree that this show is boring. I used to watch this all the time. I'm not even into sports that much (I watch football when the Cowboys play) but this was one of my favorite series.

How do you spell OC?And what's the number for 911?

I'm glad some people understand that it's a cartoon and most cartoons aren't realistic. Is it realistic that you can swallow dynamite, blow up inside, and just keep it pushing? No. I happen like this show.

couple things...this show is bomb. lets go through the complaints: "its not realistic"-well duh then it wouldnt be a cartoon. "they learned the sport in like two days"-what do you want them to do...spend 5 episodes learning how to do it? "this was boring"-then why did you sit around and watch it enough to comment about it? the review on the main page says something to the fact that it wasnt intelligent or something and my response to that is...its a cartoon on NICK...not the Discovery channel!!!

The whole show was dumb.
It was pretty much either a skateboard competition, them getting yelled at my that fat Hawaiian guy, and then them winning.

I agree with you CrazyActress. My husband is very good at a lot of xtreme sports (motocross [since he was 7 or 8], skateboarding, rollarblading, and three years ago, he started taking up snowboarding too. Also, he's been wanting to surf but never got to it). I think it's great he can do all this and I really think he's talented.

And c'mon people. it's just a cartoon. who cares if it's unrealistic. IT'S TELEVISION! It's suppose to entertain people, realistic or not! You want realistic? Stick to reality shows! Problem solved!

It's really not even that it's unrealistic it's that it's stupid and repeatitive. I found it a little annoying how the kids ALWAYS got their way. I mean it just kind of annoyed me. And you can't just expect on every board that's popular or not popular there won't be a troll. There's my two cents.

When I was younger, Rocket Power was my favorite show. It was because it was funny, not based on how realistic it was. I mean, if you're going to bash a show for being unrealistic then you'd have to contain all your movie or show viewing to nonfiction.

People watch movies where girls dressed in skimpy outfits backflip fifty times through the air and beat up some cyber robot yet people watch it anyway. People watch movies where spy guys jump off a ten-story building and land on a plane that flew out of nowhere.

So please, it was a cartoon... kids loved it... and yes, it was a bit lame. But making fun is sort of childish.

I liked rocket power. Id rather watch this and "all grown up" instead of the crap we are getting on nick now. and yes that includes spongebob. Not to hate on that cartoon but what can I say about "spongebob squarepants"?? I dont get the hype

But anyway, it was a very good series. And I loved this movie.... but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Spongebob is popular because his show is original. Rocket Power isn't bad because it's unrealistic. A cartoon is a cartoon, DBZ is the most unrealistic cartoon in existance (Probably b/c it's an anime), but nearly everyone loved it. Rocket Power is disliked b/c it's such a downgrade from the 'classics.' Nick is pulling a "Change for change sake," and it's not well recieved. Classics like Rocko and Real Monsters are tossed out the window and we're landed w/ Rocket Power. I was angry too.

Haha like Otto would always get into some trouble going to a skateboard competition, hockey game or something and have to wash dishes or clean the house or something. Then he would get to go to the game/competition anyway. The dad was a push over. And the most annoying thing of the show was when they would flash words like HURLLLLLL! or WIPE OUT! onto the screen really big in annoying font/coloring. It really distracted from the show.

But overall I liked this cartoon back when it was on. Its definately better than "My Life as a Teenage Robot" or "My Dad is a Rockstar" (both thankfully cancelled!)
