Relation to 'RINGU'

does this have anything to do with Ringu, cause i watched a trailer for Ringu on the DVD and it intermixed with a movie called The Spiral and am wondering if there is a connection

Yeah, definately a breath of fresh air. Well i liked Ringu, so on that basis, would i like The Spiral?

There will be a U.S. version of JU-ON coming out on OCT.29 it is called "THE GRUDGE" It is directed be the original director.

Hard to say really. it features most of the cast from ringu and ringu2 so if you like those actors you might want to see it. it gives a more scientific answer to whats happening compared to ringu 2's paranormal feel. I didnt really like it, but I bought it anyway just to complete the set. there's also a korean remake of ringu called "ring virus", the less said about that the better! I would personally recommend, if you haven't seen them already, "Dark Water" and "Ju-on". I had to check underneath the bed after that last one!

I found Rasen (Spiral) to be immensely boring. The novel was many times better than the movie. If only somebody could have adapted the novel correctly...

I hope no one wants to do Loop, 'cause then that would be the worst idea ever.

You forgot to talk about Ring 0~Birthday~. I felt that it surpassed Ring 2.

And, hey, what about Phone? It's kinda stupid at first, but it gets good very fast.

i own the ringu manga's
The Ring
The Ring:2
Spiral (which was originally Raisen )

but the ring is a completly different thing, diffrent wrighter and what not. it sometimes gets annoying how now everyone compares japanese horror to the Ring when there was plenty of it before the ring came out in north american.

does the plot of Ju-on (japanese version) have any relation to the plot from the ring since at the end the little kid that kills her mother resembles a lot the girl from the ring.
it coul be her that gets adopted and kill cause she is evil right just a theory i want to hear ur opinions

The ghosts in "Ju-On" are named Kayako and Toshio, and the ghost in "Ringu" is Sadako.
