no american version is needed

because there is already an american movie about spirals cursing people that is infinitely better than this movie. Vertigo

While I love this movie, and hope there isn't an American remake, I have to say that Vertigo has nothing to do with this movie whatsoever. Vertigo is a great movie, but it deals with acrophobia. Acrophobia is the fear of heights. I don't see the connection to this movie.

Vertigo has nothing to do with spirals. They SHOULD make an American version of this movie, that is more faithful to the comic and with a bigger budget so they're able to pull it off. This movie suffers from poor execution as well as poor writing and editing. I'd love it if someone tried to fix the problems with this version.

I wish an American Uzumaki TV series was attempted. The original comic would need to be (and indeed, has already been) condensed too much for a regular movie.

reply

No. No, they really shouldn't. There's no need to Americanize every last thing you see in another culture that looks interesting.

reply

I agree, no damn American remake.

To the OP, did you watch both Uzumaki and Vertigo? They have Nothing in common, Vertigo wasn't even about spirals.
