why did suichi became what he was?
why was suichi in a "tangled" mess? if you know what i mean, did he acquire his vortex fascination from his father?
shareIf you read the manga version, you'll know that it is another townfolk who became the entangled monster, not Shuichi. Nevertheless, Shuichi became that monster because like everybody else, he has been 'possessed' by the vortex energy in the town.
Eventually everyone will be affected terribly by the vortex energy.

Sure the girl with the big hair is dead because her hair tangled itself round some power wires? That's what seems to be the case in the image it shows.

Even though there really was a lot more stuff going on in the manga, it didn't really provide a more indepth explanation than the movie. Even if you've read the thing, you still don't know what the actual purpose of the whole thing was and who created it.

Major characters and plotlines? Such as? The manga was nothing but a collection of short stories, rather loosely connected by the premise of a town going insane. I don't recall any subplots or relevant plotpoints that didn't make it into the movie. I'm actually glad they've left all the "Tornado Rider" crap out. share
