sorry to ask such a dumb question. after all it's a matter of taste how scary this thing is. i just saw a few scenes from that movie and i wasn't sure if i wanted to see the rest of it, because after ringu i didn't sleep for a month or so, just bacause of it was so damned creepy. so, is uzumaki creepier or just as creepy or just different kind of creepy?

Uzumaki isn't necessarily creepy in the sense that would keep you up during the night. It is bizarre however and the surreal feel to it may disturb some viewers while watching it, but I wouldn't say it's scary. Nothing like what Ringu is. If you're unsure about it, watch it during the day. But I would say there's nothing to worry about.

I'd just say it has kind of a gore factor to it, but its not really scary like The Ring.
