Can't believe it took him over 35 years to finally screen this. What a slacker!

Here's the current link: http://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/prison-girls-1973. Keep in mind that Ebert wrote "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls", which is presumably the standard by which he judges softcore.

As silly and amateurish as "Prison Girls" is, I appreciate it for its testimony to a lost era of real women and real exploitation. Nobody would dare make a film like this today, because modern men are emasculated and modern women are artificial constructs, both physically and mentally.

As I write this, "Prison Girls" is available for streaming on Netflix. I've got to smile as it opens with the MGM logo and roaring lion and "Ars Gratia Artis". The sign of class and taste. Seems a bit incongruous, does it not?

Hear, hear! I love 70's relics like this. Nary an implant addled chest to be found! I enjoyed seeing Linda York (one of the flower body paint girls), as I'd just seen her in The Love Garden. Really cute girl!
