I guess i'm the only one to notice they ripped off Ferris Beuller

This movie was less about the house party and more about the antics of Marques' character, which resembled that of Ferris. Seriously, you could list all the similarities all the way down to the jealous sister. I'm not talking about a few subtle similarities.

I really like immature/imx. especially Batman, but they really should star in movies not written by Chris Stokes. He's not good at it. I liked them in HP3, but this just fell flat.

Yeah, I noticed the Ferris rip-off scenes as well. Well, I guess I mean the whole movie. Basically this can be recommended to anyone who wants to see a black remake of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

boy fakes being sick, gets his girlfriend out of school, does stuff in a "fancy car", and all that stuff. i pretty much knew the second he called the school.

He even uses a recording to convince his sister that he's somewhere other than where he actually is.
This really is just an "urban" remake of Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
The similarities are too many to ignore.

I was just coming here to say that. It's not even as if it was only a very similar theme. Practically follows the first few scenes exactly.

I was pissed when I saw all the similarities. Mom and Dad let him stay home...Sister knows he isn't sick..."They bought it" = "It worked" or "I did it" (whatever) Then he's dancing around and singing in the shower and gets his friends to take the day off with him.

Ugh....just disgusting

Yeah, when I was tuning in Comedy Central, and the teacher tries to get in the house, I was like "Okaaay, Ferris Bueller, much?" And yeah. This was..eh.

and the whole scene when the guy talks to her and explains that she needs to stop worrying about her brother and live her own life.

I usually dont like the "this is a rip off movie" forumns but this one is a staight copy of bueller

I'm guessing that this abomination got made, was deemed worthless, and got stuck with the House Party 4 moniker in an effort to get at least a few more rentals, sort of like all those other straight-to-video sequels that aren't really sequels that look more like a crappy re-make of whatever name appears before the "2", or in this case "4"
