His comments on John Paul Jones are completely false, JPJ did not use a pick at all in his bass playing and his style is completely different than Entwistle, who did pioneer the bass as just a really low nasty sounding guitar. Actually I always thought his bass sounded like a piano. Anyway, JPJ used a much more traditional soft warm bass sound.
Gawd you're an arrogantly ignorant twit! Listen to 'pet sounds', it's obvious! And he wasn't even comparing John Paul Jones to Entwistle you idiot, he was describing the sound that he got for the demo in which he played all the instruments and recorded it himself. If you ever get around to cranking out as many Demos at Pete does (still...), maybe you won't be so apt to talk out your a$$.
Also, what happened to Pete's old Putney VCS3? Did he sell it for crack? It's too bad because it's obvious he can't even remember how get got those amazing sounds.
doooood, YOU are on crack, it was right there in his home studio, he flippin showed it to you (now, and a photo from then)... did you even bother watching this film, or did you got take a gigantic crap and forgot to pause it? Sounds to me that you can't seem to get those sounds and are still frustrated (Hint: you don't need the original equipment to get those, but it's still complicated...so get back to work and STFU!)
