Didn't anybody else feel that the hard to read and badly placed subtitles made this difficult to watch? I mean, it looked an interesting film but I strained to read them so much that I got a very bad migraine and had to turn it off after half an hour!

I've been a fool but you know I wouldn't kill for you...

What version did you see, and where? (The days when subtitles were "burned into" the film itself are long gone; subtitles are now generally overlaid at projection time.)

I watched the Criterion Region 1 DVD; the optional subtitles on that version were very clear.
