I like this film very much but I am very curious as to two questions:

1. Who funded this film?
If you are a smart businessman, you know that only very few audience out there would be able to appreciate the beauty of this film, and thus it could never make money. Indeed, imdb says the budget is 21mil while box office is only 7mil. So who would pay for projects like this?

2. How's the payscale for actors?
How much does Benoît Magimel and minor actors get?

For 1.: maybe there is some information in the credits at the end? I don´t know, so far I´ve seen this movie only on TV ... and then, the credits are probably in French and I can´t translate that.

2.: no idea. Search the internet for someone who was involved in the making, maybe he or she can tell something. Or Monsieur Magimel would reveal it, if you write him very nicely?
