One of the Best Hanna Barbera Cartoons Ever!

Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, Huckleberry Hound, The Jetsons, Magilla Gorilla, Jonny Quest,Wally Gator, Peter Potamus, AND of Course, the one and only Quick Draw McGraw (NOT Dr. Phil) but Quick Draw. He's the good ol dog in the west with his sidekick Baba Looey (who reminds me of Gulerrimo of "Jimmy Kimmel Live") He dresses up as El Kabong "KA BONG!" And catches all those criminals who escape from jail. You'll love it and dooooon't you for-get it!

KA BONG!

You forgot Top Cat! I'm beginning to think TC (like Bilko before him) was far more popular here in the UK than the US.

But back on topic - KABONG!

reply

I think all the El Kabong episodes are hilarious because I laugh my ass off everytime hits the bad guys with the guitar for some reason.

Agreed. Now, what was the name of the dog who would float up in the air when he got a doggie treat? Thanks!

reply

Quick Draw McGraw was the best, indeed. There was also a woodpecker cartoon, I cant remember it's name. It was even better.

reply

I vaguely remember the dog who shot up into the air, then floated down sighing after getting a doggie treat, as being named Snuffles.

QUICK DRAW was one of several H-B cartoons that were already long off television when I was growing up in the late 60s/early 70s but I vividly remember him because there were still toys being manufactured and he appeared in H-B records, coloring books and comic books. I've still got a viewmaster reel of QUICK DRAW from my childhood! I would love to see these cartoons he and Baba Looey seem so appealing. (You didn't mention some of my favorite unseen H-B cartoons THE HILLBILLY BEARS, SECRET SQUIRREL, and ATOM ANT. I also remember PRECIOUS PUP toys but I don't know if he had a show of his own or was just featured in others' shows like YAKKY DOODLE DUCK ( him) and PIXIE AND DIXIE.

El Kabong is truly timeless.

Did the guy who voiced Baba Looey, also do Sancho Panda in that Don Coyote show that came out years later?

Try not to take life too seriously, no one gets out alive.

reply

Snuffles will hug himself and jump into the sky when people feed him dog biscuits! LOL!

reply

No..Daws Butler was Baba and had died in 1988 before Don Coyote came out.

Amanda Bynes is hot, Lindsay Lohan is not
