below is a rough (and literal) translation of the german post above: it is necessary to interpret the idioms yourself.

>>"I saw coincidental with amazon.de that "investigating sex" in Germany
on dvd will appear also here presumably on 1 December: -) the film is not in degrees super+, but nevertheless in German, perhaps it will thereby be more excitingly if one more than half understands (with this topic [big grin)... I become me in any case to buy it."

i read the subject for its title: "Re: for the germans ;)" to mean as someone might toss off "for the birds." The 1920s ornate sets and stylized art design were outstanding. Several talented and well-known actors took roles in this self- indulgent film about a group of men having a dialog about sex.(imagine that!) No one came off very well in this inane film; not that the actors were bad, but then, no one did their best work either. This was not their fault because the film doesn't work. If it were a theatrical play, the audience would walk out except for a handful of committed immature voyeurs.

IMHO the original poster titled the subject "for the Germans" because she was letting all of the German speakers know that the DVD would be available in German, and could be purchased at amazon.de, which is the German version of the Amazon website. I don't think she meant that the film was "for the birds." She goes on to say that although it wasn't a super terrific film, that she prefered it in German and found it more exciting:

[So I coincidentally saw at amazon.de (the german amazon website) that “investigating sex” will also appear here in Germany on DVD, and in fact probably on December 1st.
The film is not highly super terrific, but nevertheless in German, perhaps it was in that way more exciting, if one more than half understands (this topic). I will in any case buy it for myself.]

Babelfish translations aren't very good unfortunately :(

But I agree with your comments about the movie itself, the set design was great :)
