Because it's like Steve Martin wrote a space western, sans banjo (if you are not familiar with Steve's old standup...check it out). If you don't 'get' Steve, yeah, then don't spend your time on it.

In fact, I am going to use this flick as a litmus test for future potential mates.

I, for one, am glad to endorse this film. AND post about it, which is very QUITE rare, dear reader.
