Well if he can't act then why is he in movies!
I loved his performance.

It's not so much that he can't act, it's that he simply can't do comedy. He has no comedic timing, his voice is very flat and his face isn't expressive enough (his mugging at the camera in this film is actually embarassing). It's rather telling that he hasn't even tried any comedy since.
