I'm watching this in a biomedical ethics class

I saw this movie in high school, but now I'm watching it again with other future health practitioners: nurses, biologists, researchers, psychologists, and physicians.
The only thing more disturbing than the lack of respect she receives in the hospital is the lack of respect from the health care viewers. Most of the people are attentive and compassionate, but the rest use the movie to text on their Sidekicks and talk while Emma Thompson dies.

My brother died of cancer. Was given 3 months to live. Basically, when he awoke the doctor leaned over him and told him to get his affairs in order because he had three months.

May she burn when she gets to hell.

Another disturbing thing is to have a health care professional (cardiologist)come into your room, close the door and molest you. You are so sick that you can't cry out for help.

I hope when you or whoever felt better, you reported it. Even it your claim was dismissed (a distinct possibly or I should say a more likely possibly), maybe it'll go on his record so that the next person.

I've had a doctor for no reason at all suddenly lift the waistband on my underpants and peer at my nether regions. Another time, while I was getting a GYN exam, a trainee or assistant or whatever she was walked over, then turned around, and positioned herself to look up my wazoo. WTF???
