Why would Stuart play soccer with humans?

How could he even play? The ball is about 100 times the size of his body. He couldn't lift it with two hands, let alone kick it. All he can do is run around like an idiot. And it's a miracle he wasn't stepped on. With about 50 huge feet moving around all around him, it's not very easy to dodge them all.
