Steve Carell = Francois
in an american remake, I love this movie, I just saw it, Hilarious yet real
My advice to you, when she straps one on, Bend over, bite down hard and just take it.

I hope they don't remake it. There was a very funny French movie called "The Dinner Game" made by the same man who wrote "The Closet" In fact in both movies a character has Pignon's name.
The movie is about some successful men who have a regular dinner. Each has to take a turn finding the stupidest boring person they can as a guest. The guest never has a clue as to why he is invited.
Well, they have made an American version with Steve Carrell called "Dinner for Schmucks." I have no intention of seeing it. It already sounds like it was dumbed down.
Please no... Americans just will make something horrible and call it comedy.
shareI don't hate Steve Carell but I don't think he's funny. "Dinner for Schmucks" was more like a "Movie for Schmucks" and I totally regret watching it. Some 'idiot' movies are funny but Americans usually overdo it. I also hope they won't make a remake.
shareSteve Carell is one of my favourite comedy actors and he IS funny if given the right material and "Dinner for Schmucks" was not good material.
shareI agree, he is actually very talented but he has a particular style that needs a certain sensibility in the material.
