I am desperately trying to find the song that Zora sang to Q-Tip's character the first time she met him in the studio. I know that Melkey Sedeck did the vocals, but the song was not on the soundtrack (a very good one might I add). The lyrics were something like this: I never have the guts to leave you> and even though you've done me wrong I play your game all along> you cheat on me over and over> I take you back cause I don't know any better than you> I think you're the one for me.

Any help that anyone can give me will be very much appreciated.

Please let me what you find out. I haven't been able to find the soundtrack, please let me know if there's a website I can purchased it from. I have been looking for that song for years.

You can find the actual soundtrack in any store and it's good, but that particular song is not on there. Melkey Sedeck does have two other songs on there, one is being sung by Zora in the studio while Franklin was about to cheat with the ex girlfriend, and it's called Brooklyn. The other one called Just for my baby was the one that Zora was listening to with Reggie (Q-Tip) in the studio later on in the film. Again, even though that song isn't on there it is still a good soundtrack. I hope you are able to find it. I'm not sure where you live, but if you have a Camelot (new name FYE), Sam Goody or even a Walmart you should be able to get it.

I already had the soundtrack with those songs on it, I was just curious to find out the song that Zora's character sang when she auditioned for Reggie, because it's not on there and I like it, but thank you anyway that was very thoughtful of you.

I'm a big Stevie Wonder fan, so the Jungle Fever soundtrack is a good pick, also Love Jones and Cruel Intentions. Not to mention any soundtrack dominated by Prince.

Hey y'all! I'm new here and I thought I was the only one who'd ever seen this movie let alone the soundtrack. No one ever knows what I'm talking about when I mention this movie. I too would love to know what the name of that song is that she sings in the studio and where to get it. It is a great tune. If anyone knows where I can get it, please let me know. I hope its not too late!

Cruel intentions is a great movie and soundtrack....also Higher Learning, Juice,All 3 Friday Movies...oh and its Zapp and roger...not vise versa...I have every song they ever made also..I have over 80gigs of mp3's.....

Has anyone ever found the name of this song when Zora first auditions? I have the soundtrack and this song is not on it. Thanks for any info.!

The lyrics start out with...
