Wow, I am surprised people like that song. My boyfriend and I make fun of it all the time. I'm not sure if it is the vocals that throws it off.
I hear the book is so much better and the movie doesn't do it justice. It is a pretty good cast. I do feel like it is missing something.
The book is a lot more interesting because it is told in first person from both Zora and Franklin's points of view. One chapter is told from Zora's view and the next from Franklin's...the whole book is written that way. I've never read a book written in that format before. It was very interesting.
shareI can't recall this exact song, but I too thought something was off about the music. I didn't really like the way she sang. She definitely had a unique voice though so I see how she could have a career.
