the main baddie in Series 2

Ive recently just watched this again on dvd and there are some very good stories in it.
Who do you all think was the worst or even most nasty character in that series?

Ronnie (Ricky Tomlinson), who was cheating on his disabled wife. And he faked the truck robbery so he could run away with his partner?

Brian, who worked with a kids group and was found to have indecent pics of them on his pc?

Bev, who lied to her partner about being pregnant just so he would marry her. Then she invented a miscarriage to cover this up. And she did everything to drive him apart from his sons and his friends.

Ade, who stabbed the thug in the street fight but refused to goto the police even when his friends were set to be charged for the assault.

Ronnie - Not a baddie at all in my mind. He was the main care giver to his wife for 20 years which takes real commitment and caring. I can't blame him for finally wanting to have a life of his own and he helped with the robbery so he could afford to give his wife the best care. He is far from perfect but definitely not a malicious character.

Bev - I didn't find her very likable but I wouldn't call her an out and out baddie. She didn't try to drive him apart from his sons and friends they did that by being so hostile towards her. She did criticize them but her criticisms were valid. Her worst actions was faking the pregnancy. I think she probably did it because she had a tough life as a single mother and felt she deserved some happiness but it was still an outrageous thing to do.

Ade - I'd have to re-watch that episode before forming a judgment

Brian - definitely the worst character in that series. Abusing children and blackmailing Kev.

I actually felt sorry for Ronnie's character and can also understand why he'd finally had enough of caring for his wife. I think deep down his son had to understand this but he couldnt forgive his dad for it.

Ade wasnt a bad character to be honest and the stabbing was accidental. But he was selfish in not going to report what hed done to the police.

Bev was a complete piece of filth for the way she behaved towards Mal's sons and friends and it was so annoying that he couldnt or wouldnt see it. I wish Julie had told him when Bev told her she had faked the pregnancy.

Mals sons were a pair of stuck up little sh*ts. They were horrible to Bev from the beginning: ignoring her when she said hello in a friendly voice and when she asked questions such as how Mal took his tea, they looked down on her making snide remarks about her living on "peasant crescent" and her son being illiterate or in prison and they took their dad for granted expecting him to drive them around whenever they want even if he's just started his tea and fleecing him for money. I don't see how you can accuse her of trying to turn him against his friends; what happened was they had a night with her were she made a show of herself and was rude to one of them and then one of them didn't invite Mal to a night at their house. I can understand them not liking her but they should have discussed it like adults not cut off a man who had given them countless free accommodation on holidays and it wasn't Bev trying to turn him against them as she said nothing against them to Mal until they didn't invite him.

Bev was still out of order moving her stuff in like that, telling the sons about Mals dead wife not having sex with him and being rude to Mals friend. She was even more out of order faking pregnancy and miscarriage. It was a completely despicable thing to do but the friends and sons were not blameless.
