Well, I'm not really sorry, I just mean that the filmmakers intent seems to be they wanted us to buy into the idea that she was overweight when I just don't agree.

Well, I think it's more that the filmmakers want us to see that is how Bridget feels about herself. Clearly, she doesn't see herself as the world sees her. Which is a major point of the story.

Renee was so very good BUT I thought the whole point of Bridget's obsession with her weight was that she wasn't anwhere near the size she thought. Which was totally undone by hiring a rail thin actress - who was very good - who added many pounds for the role. Talk about irony!

In the 2nd film I think she put on more weight and it doesn't really work. She looks lovely in this film.
