Is this the French film that was mentioned Will and Grace?? (TV)

I remember watching a Will and Grace episode, and there was a mention of a french film, and something along the lines of..."You remember that French film we saw? About that man, and that woman who met on the train, but nothing happened, until they met on airplane the way they were supposed to"

Is this the film, or something else? I'm intrigued on both.

Any info would be great. Thanks!

i didn't see the Will and Grace episode, but part of what you mention is true.

they meet on the train, nothing happened between them for a while, but they don't meet on an airplane later.

I remember that episode! And I assumed they were referring to "Toute Une Vie" (The English title is 'And Now My Love'), from the 1970s. It was directed my Claude Lelouch. It's been a long time since I've seen it, but I seem to recall that the couple meet at the end on an airplane and realize that they're 'meant to be.'
