why did the guy put the dead cockroach in the black lady's coffee? I know the black lady was mean and deserved it (since they showed her kicking the bum), but how did the guy know it? what would be his motivation? did he see her kicking the bum? i don't think so.

also, what do you think was in the note the black lady asked the bartender to pass around at the cafe?

I think it was just because she was being so rude. She kept demanding his money and she was racist against his own race. I think he put up with it at first hoping she'd be someone who he'd fall in love with but gives up on the idea and acts accordingly.
