Another good opening sequence, the writers of the show seem to want to put together a very good start to grab the viewers attention and get them invested in the first 5 minutes. They have done this very well. I liked the episode but found myself thinking it was running a little to long. The story seemed to resolve itself about 10 minutes shorter than the run time. More good humor and yet another way to involve Yve as she needed to bail the boys out literally.
wlcebtg I know you liked the scene with the saws all. I have heard your tales of mayhem and destruction with one of those tools.
I am starting to grow tired of them always getting thrown in jail. It is hard to believe they would not be put away for life as repeat offenders. Much like the time tunnel and Kolchak I feel this will have to be overlooked as one of those things. I found the midget love a little creepy but thats just me, the girl didn't look to bad it was just odd...lol Had to start subtracting points for the repeated jailing and the midget love.
All in all my least favorite episode to date, I give it a 4 on the TLG scale.

Haven’t forgotten my duties due to weather conditions I might not be able to post until tomorrow morning. Too much snow down South.

This one grabbed my attention better than the others. I enjoyed the opening sequence. Very interest grabbing.
I'm not sure why Byers was so eager to dismiss the story. At least ask the man some good questions. I think that Frohike mentioned getting more info before turning it over to *Mulder*.
Overall I enjoyed this one. It kept my attention.
I'm not sure why they would ever let other people live in the house. They would always have to be working around them. It seems that there weren't cameras in the house but the outside shots would still have them. But it did make for a very intriguing intro.
What was the scanner finding in the walls? The sawing of the house open was funny but stupid considering they were looking for things behind the sheetrock.
The midget wrestling was a funny twist to it all.
The blue goo was quite X-file like.
Was that blue goo on Muckle's head in the last seen?
I'll give this one an 8. Well done.

You bring up an interesting point about letting people live in the house. It makes me wonder how the Lab was funded, maybe they didn't have enough money to get a place with out people.
I thought the scanner was looking for cameras in the wall but i guess it was picking up on Frohike's bolt cutters. I thought Muckle was going to hit a hot electrical wire and shoot backwards but the whole side of the house fell down very Gilligan but I liked it.

One of them said he didn't want to "go all Mulder" in believing the guy's story - in other words, assuming it was aliens.

All in all, I liked this episode a lot. It kept you guessing right from the beginning, and stuff just got goofier: "Crazy Eddie" guy, midget wrestlers, VR therapy, etc. I also liked that Jimmy challenged the boys on their methods when suddenly they didn't want to get involved. That's ALL they do!

The couple of parts that didn't make sense: One, what were they seeing in the walls of the house? Two, what was up with the doctor? She was obviously plugging herself into the VR program too, but was she doing that for all the guys or just Charlie? And isn't that just a tad unethical?

You guys are right about the Gunmen constantly being thrown in jail/committing crimes. It seems VERY unlikely that charges would be dropped for each and every count over the series so far. Maybe they just have a VERY good lawyer.

what were they seeing in the walls of the house?
I think it was Frohike's bolt cutters that he had behind his back. when the kid on the bike spotted him.

They must have a lawyer that works for free. Best I can tell they don’t have real jobs.

Not bad kind of like this one. Who was funding the experiments Corporate America or the Government? That’s what they should have been trying to figure out. To do that type of surgery would take real deep pockets, they wouldn’t be doing it just to help an alcoholic would they? Dr. Lois / wife seemed to be one of them I liked that touch left me thinking and wondering. The story was good and held my attention the whole way. This one gets a six on the GM scale. Nice to have power back on and the snow is almost gone.

So do these guys have real jobs? The show may have covered this but I think I missed it. Also they are always so ill equipped going into these situations. Five shows in you would think they might carry a weapon or something, but I guess these are the type of guys that try to either talk or outsmart their danger threats.
