Yeah, this movie is GREAT!! lol I have a VHS copy and have watched it by myself or with my friends at least 50 times.
I can tell you all the characters names, from 'ol Pete the good hearted mountain man to Steven Miles, the movies main protagonist, who's eyebrows grow as the movie moves along!! (Its TRUE!! Ha Ha!) Watch the scene when he's in the church talking to Jesus.(His eyebrows are much longer than in the beginning.)
From Pug the evil sheriff, to Lonnie the deputy, who likes to gun down innocent women and children with a 12 gauge shotgun. This VERY GOOD movie is character driven. With some decent effects to go with the story.
Obviously, if your one of those people who's sensibility's are offended by the mere mention of Jesus Christ, God or "The Rapture", then this film is not for you. However I highly recommend you watch it anyway, in the hopes that you wake up and smell the "End Times" in which you live!!
You might even find yourself on your knees thanking Jesus for your life, and asking for His forgiveness!!
I easily give it a 9/10, but the more I think about the excellent character development, the character driven story and the wholesome message behind it, I would be remiss if I did not give it a better score.
So, I give this Christian Classic a 100/10 ... Yeah! It's THAT good!!
Give 'er 10 or 12 times, and I am sure you'll agree!! :o)
