I have been following larisa's films and work for a while now, dating back to when she was in TSWOAM. I'm the same age as her and though I actually saw her acting ability before I noticed her as really beautiful. I'm formerly (Knight292) and had posted on this a while back that she need to broaden her range, do some comedy, because I didn't think Larisa was using her versatility. Not that I blame her for the lack of other films. Typecasting is one of the worst drawbacks to the film Insustry. However, should you escape such as Larisa did, the rewards, as most are in Showbiz, are magnificent. I'd just like to say...What I tell ya? Im sure most of the other Larisa fans knew she would marvel in a dramatic role. Here in A time for dancing as the lead she really went above and beyond her potential as a actres...I forgot it was Larisa, as Jules. I believed that she really was Jules. I watch a lot of movies and forgetting who plays a character during a film rarely happens. The last time was Kevin Spacey in American Beauty.
Ican't wait to see Larisa in Bringing Rain.
also as a filmmaker I hope to one day cast her in an oscar winning role.
I bought A Time For Dancing on DVD through Amazon for about $18. I'd pay even more fore it. i'm with you all...It would have done well in the theaters here in the U.S.
P.S. Larisa played the role of Jules to perfection, very natural, and not over the top. Her versatility got to shine just a little more.
