It’s like being in a warped reality show with all the madness that’s going on (ironically anti-science, anti-reality and anti-everything-that-isn’t-regressiv-red pill goons are currently having their moment... eek!). Funny cuz it’s not.

That’s the Cartesian dilemma on which The Matrix is based and, like The Oracle is fond of saying, it’s really unknowable.

Interesting. But what if it's impossible to break out of the simulation? What if we're all just artificial intelligence, lines of code, "living" in this simulation?

... Actually, wait wasn't trying to do just that the plot of Tron legacy 🙄

if we found out 100% we are living in a simulation I guess either nothing would happen (like whoevers simulation it is died out eons ago or the simulation is just too vast/outgrown to notice us finding out or maybe they wouldn't care).. or.. we'd get shut down/rebooted ..

anyway if it was found out we are in something like The Matrix it would more than likely be a very guarded secret inside a secret inside a secret like a Russian doll that if a layman found out about any of that stuff accidently or hacked into stuff they would be just be erased from existence by whoever is protecting it (accident, suicide etc)

I guess its possible that certain individuals in the higher echelons of power (think like the Smoking Man) more than likely do know disturbing stuff about the human race, who we really are, where we really come from, what religions really are about, if theres aliens, alternate universes, what the universe really is, longevity of human life, mutated/meta humans, timetravel, AI, secret space missions (to ensure if the earth was ever threatened thered be another place a few of humanity could survive), and if we are living in a simulation etc (basically everything the XFiles covered) but its all hush hush and we go on living our lives in ignorance of the various truths as otherwise everything would change/theyd be chaos breakdown of order etc
