Where were the ships?

Lock made such a big deal about having every ship available for the defense of Zion. The captain that was with Niobe and Morpheus (Captain Roland?) also made a big deal about going back for one of the ships so that Zion could use it.

What was the point? These ships werent present at all in that final battle in the dock. Zion had known for days that the sentinels were approaching and they were fully prepared when they came through the ceiling with the drill. If they had no plans for using those ships, why did it matter?

Maybe they ultimately decided to attempt to get some of the people of Zion to safety in them? Not likely.

reply

It didn't matter. A few ships more or less obviously made no difference.

It was about belief. Go tell a General on the eve of battle that you want to borrow a dozen soldiers and ask them to pray to see if prayer will win the battle. You'll be lucky if he doesn't shoot you in the face.

Adding to that the fact that this moron had it in for Morpheus for personal reasons and there you go.

reply

Well you obviously missed a lot of the movie(s)

Bane (the guy Smith took over who was unconscious next to Neo) blew an emp and all the ships were destroyed by sentinels. It's said at the end of Reloaded and early in Revolutions.
