C'mon it wasn't that disturbing!

Anything from Larry Clark (Kids, Bully, Ken Park) is 10x more disturbing than anything in L.I.E.

You had characters you invested time in Howie, Big John, Howie's dad and Howie's friends. Compare that to Larry Clark films that say "Hey let's put in a shot of a young girl getting de-virginated so we can look cool."

I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.

larry clark can be a bit "oh look at me im being controversial" at times, plus he sure does seem to enjoy shirtless teenage boys...

I guess this movie would be controversial to some who have never been outside of their lily white neighborhood.

When I was growing up I saw things like in LIE and the movie kids. So when I watched those movies I was interested to see what they would do.

I have traveled in jerk water third countries and have seen some truly horrible things. Things if I told you it would feel like someone shoved a spike up your nose. I did tell this woman I worked with and she said I have seen that all the time where I live.

The bottom line is wither people want to admit it or even want to see it in movies but the subjects in LIE and kids happen every day in America.

i don't come from a "lily white neighborhood", very silly of you to presume i do. also L.I.E. isn't a larry clark film so it does not relate to my comment. nobody said these things dont happen but larry clark just seems to add things in to his movies which are only their to be controversial, with no other significant reason. Kids hardly showed the worst things kids that age get up to, aside getting aids the stuff shown in that move was fairly harmless, hell middle class kids get up to worse than that, it still doesn't take away from the fact that larry clark has a tendency to add pointless scenes for the sake of being "edgy".

While I agree it´s not disturbing, or even meant to be disturbing, it´s definitely controversial though in how it shows certain things in a different light than the audiences are used to seeing.

I don't really see this as disturbing, Larry Clark is one of my favorite directors and most of his films are much more shocking, I did enjoy this one though:)

Eh, I don't know about that. The whole "5 inches" scene was pretty unsettling to me.
