My 2nd review 15 years after the first based on memory

I can't believe that they don't allow you to review the same film twice.

Many SPOILER Alert. Movie reviews in layman's talk. One of my favorite movies, it stands for Long Island Expressway. It's one of those movies that chose me rather than the other way around is what I say when a film with little fan fare just so happens to be starting 5 minutes from the time that I inquire about what is there to see? (Happened with Hateful 8 another all time fav of mine). Admittedly the film is not for everyone or even the masses (mixed company) for that matter. The case study is of 1 boy who allows a bigger same age reckless boy to be his bad influence after his mother dies on the dangerous title highway sending him into a self destructive spiral. In a Tarantino Pulp Fiction wrong door type of twist the 2 and their crew steal from houses. One belongs to Big John, the neighborhood weirdo who seems to have a thing for bad kids socks. That's where most people exit left. A veteran actor terrifyingly plays Big John but in yet the final twist ..as he goes to groom the troubled kid he discovers that the orphan is not the average stinky brat. The kid has wit, brains and a promising future as a poet of tear jerking prose. A man child wise beyond his years he becomes dead to Big John who sees him in a different light now. A light that then terrorizes the terrorizer. The subsequent argument finds the boy yelling at his mysterious mentor and asking the burning question of why does his discovering that he likes him result in his pushing him away? It's a Monster film complicated by the fact that the monster is human and is not always monstrous and the film captures his fleeing in tuneness with humanity.
