harvard man is graet. i agree. acid dous look to be vary scary! my best friend used scenes from that movie in a presentation for a health class! it was very affective. she handed out listerine pocket strips and when everyone ate them she turned the lights out and showed all of the triping scenes aand then when the lighst went back on at the end of the montage she gave her speach and then she sat down and everyone thought it was over(just like i the movie) and the teacher turned the lights off again and showed the end of the movie to desplay that it is never gone!

reply

Why the listerine? I'm in love with Sarah Michelle Gellar and I really liked this movie. I'm dead serious, I will probably never do acid: thanks to this movie. I just couldn't stand being high and holucinationg for almost 12 hours- but in this case, forever. Drugs never leave, say a year later after you tripped you could feel like u just took a hit of acid. Creepy.

Hey intelligent,

i'm guessing that you're only a little kid, you've got a lot to learn!!! - anyone above the age of 12 would know that this film was a pile of doo doo.

When you grow up, and become 'all adult', you will apprecite what this film has taught you.............Never watch anything with the words 'Man' and 'Havard in the title again!

reply

Doo Doo? Please, Go watch the Lord Of The Rings.

reply

Are you trying to tell me that Harvard Man is better than LOTR.

Well, I'm not even gonna bother getting into this...........

..........go back to bed you child.

reply

where are you from anyway? - i suppose you live in the woods somewhere or under a big rock in any case it would explain your ignorance

reply

MY IGNORANCE? Hello? Are you ADHD? You have really bad memory, your the on saying ignorant things to me. I would say a lot more but I don't wanna get kicked off IMDB.

You must have a lot of time on your hands.

Hope you enjoyed researching my history ;)

I have a problem with pussy.........

This movie was seriously boring, until it got to part of that guy going to Gellar's father house, to ask for the money. From that point on, it got quite good, but the ending could've been better. Also, Sarah Michelle Gellar in various sex scenes, didn't hurt, either. But nothing beats her kiss with Salma Blair in "Cruel Intentions".

reply

Yes yes.. let a film tell you what something is like.

*GASP*

reply

So, Senor, if somebody enjoyed a movie that you didn't like, they must obviously be 12 years old. It seems from your posts that to qualify as "intelligent" or an "adult" they have to have the same tastes in movies as you.

Hey ShadyLover0098,
I agree that this movie is somewhat weird, but if this is the weirdest movie that you have ever seen, I would recommend the following:

-Lost highway (by David Lynch)
-Requiem for a dream (by darren aronofsky)
-Memento (by christopher nolan)
-Dr Strangelove (stanley kubrick)
-A clockwork orange (stanley kubrick)
-Pi (darren aronofsky)....

...to name a few. You should check them out.

You must remember he took something like 15,000mcgs. A normal recreational dose is somewhere around 100mcgs.

Acid isn't scary, its a a lot of fun, interesting, introspective, sensual, ecstatic, music sounds absolutely incredible, and all your senses are enhanced. Hopefully going to be doing some this weekend actually.

Also sorry but this film is really tragic.

Buy the ticket, take the ride.

reply

thank you keyser. Acid isn't for everyone, but, defininitely not insanity in a sugar cube. The Chem student warned him to take only one; he took all three. The Doctor was even impressed with his ability to handle so much. Don't judge so quickly. Learn

reply

Yeah. I actually liked this film, though.

And if you take LSD in moderation, you'll be fine. Just be sure you're somehwere safe and with people you know and trust. LSD, in small doses, can be fun.

reply

The sugar cubes had far too much on them, at 5000 mcg each, that is from 63 to 250 times a normal modern dose of 20 to 80 mcg. 14,000 mcg is the estimated toxic dose. The author of the screenplay / script took 100,000 mcg, over 7 times the toxic dose, as in the movie he was administered an antidote of thorazine.
