Why can't sports movies get small details right?

During the basketball scenes... There are only two referees. In college basketball there are three referees. It's been that way for twenty years! Get it right!

Also, if you are only going to have two referees, at least put one of them on the baseline when a guy goes in to score. No referee is ever that out of position!

Another thing is ...it's COLLEGE basketball! College basketball plays two 20 minute halves, so why does the scoreboard show 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarter?....Harvard is not a high school!

Is it really that hard to do such minor research to get the details right?
