My concept for a live-action CT film

The plot: The Crazy Taxi Company of Devil Beach, California is one of the best services in the city, despite constant controversy, which involves parking and speeding violations, collateral damage, and noise pollution from many of the young, punk-rocking taxi-drivers. But that's all about to end when a new taxi service seeks to take the throne of best taxi service in town. But in a Southern California town filled with tourists, so-called "spiritual" people, celebrities, stand-up comedians, and more anarchy than a year-long, state-wide mosh pit, this little fight to be the number one taxi service is anything but a petty squabble.

The cast:

+++CHARACTERS FROM THE GAME
+ Axel: Matthew Lillard or Devon Sawa
+ Gena: Megan Fox or Mila Kunis
+ BD Joe: Mekhi Pfifer(sic?) or Taye Diggs
+ Gus: Michael Rooker or ???

+++ORIGINAL CHARACTERS (note: most of the names are "slug names")
+ Mickey (Punk-rocking tech wiz/grease monkey; think Skolnick meets Dexter Holland of The Offspring): Christopher Mintz-Plasse [Superbad]
+ Tommy (Token gay guy/punk-rock-obsessed speed demon): ???
+ Sheena (named for The Ramones song; basically is Baby Spice meets Joan Jett in a mosh pit: bubbly punk rock goddess): Kim Director [He Got Game, Summer of Sam, Blair Witch 2]
+ Ice (Axel's rival both in the world of taxi-driving and the local punk rock scene): Christian Campbell [Trick, Reefer Madness the Movie Musical]
+ Janet (Crazy Taxi dispatcher and former '70s wild child; also sort of a housemother to the younger Crazy Taxi drivers): Lin Shaye [Nat'l Lampoon's Pledge This, Snakes on a Plane, 2001 Maniacs] or Mink Stole (?) [Pink Flamingos, Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds, Cecil B. Demented, Serial Mom]
+ ??? (punk-rock poser preppy trust fund baby, with a penchant for street racing; works for CT's rival]: Justin Berfield [Malcolm in the Middle]

More to come!

That actually sounds preatty good. I like it. So who would direct it?

Dear sexy knickers I don't half fancy you meet me outside at 5:30 and we'll get it together

A collective group of Michael Bay, John McTiernan, and a comedy writer TBD.

Wow. That would be pretty good. You should write a screen-play for it.

I was about to start a thread about a similar topic, but I think I'll just add to this one. I had an idea for a live action movie for "Crazy Taxi."

Gus, a past-his-prime police detective, receives an undercover assignment to transport eye witnesses to crimes to headquarters, disguised as a taxi cab driver. While undercover, he becomes entangled in the world of "crazy taxi-ing", cabbies who aren't afraid to bust some traffic violations to get their cleints to their destination on time. He meets young, upstart, punk driver Axel, sexy young cabbie Gena, and token black cabbie B. D. Joe. "The Fast and the Furious" and "Gone in 60 Seconds" type action ensues. (Note, I'm not a big fan of either of the aforementioned movies, but that doesn't mean the genre doesn't have potential if someone does it right.)

As for a cast, I decided on BRUCE WILLIS as Gus right away. Although a friend recently suggested JASON STATHAM to me, and he'd be my second choice.

And then I realized RYAN REYNOLDS would be the only possible choice for Axel.

I'm thinking, maybe JESSICA ALBA as Gena and CHRIS TUCKER as B. D. Joe, but I'm not as sure about them as my other casting choices. The same friend who suggested Jason Statham also suggest BRIAN J. WHITE as B. D. Joe.

Pretty good idea, OP. I had a fairly similar idea actually. The only way I can see something like this working would be a hybrid of Empire Records meets Gone in Sixty Seconds (as mentioned). The basic premise would be our free-spirited cab company with the usual suspects in San Francisco are suddenly threated with being layed-off when their cab company is financially underwater and a national, family-friendly corporate taxicab firm plans to buy them out. The only way our favorite cabbies can stay in business is to rake in a huge pile of money over one weekend. Assuming it was well written and had decent actors and awesome stunts with souped up cabs, I think it could work.

I don't know how realistic it would be though as that Taxi movie with Queen Latifa and the awful and unfunny Jimmy Fallon was a pretty bad flop (although the French film it was based off of was awesome!).

Thoughts on Cast:
Axel:
- Chad Michael Murray (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0614877/)
- Matthew Lillard(http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000498/)
he may be a little old now (41) but he was the original suggestion and so perfect
Gina:
- Leighton Meester (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1015262/)
- Eliza Dushku (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0244630/)
B.D. Joe:
- Aldis Hodge (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0388038/)
Gus:
- Scott Patterson(http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0666398/) just make him bald
- Julio Oscar Mechoso(http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0575339/)
I know he's not Hispanic but he'd still fit the part well
