when shalini(shakti) sees on other side of rail track that madhavan(karthik) speaking to lady.does she(shalini) knows whether it is her sister or not ?
the last scene where her sister speaks about her marriage supports this idea by her feelings and a dialogue that she cuts .can any one justify me
No she doesn't.
She thinks Madhavan is having an affair (which she doubts for sometime) and her sister's back just confirms her suspicion.
Nice to see new people discovering this movie after so many years.
I wonder how many guys are like me, falling in love with Shalini, only to learn she would never make more movies. In a way, it makes her the perfect love object, remembered from one seeing and then invisible. You could write a great poem about that. I think Poe's Annabelle Lee was like that.

One of Mani Ratnam's best movies. Great acing by Shalini and R.Madhavan. And P. C. Sreerams Cinematography in this movie was AMAZING!
Even if I watch the song sequences today, it just keep taking my breat away. Especially the song Pachchai Niramae. A.R. Rahman's work in this movie is one of his best soundtracks!
Mani Ratnam and A.R. Rahman collaboration will always blow your mind away. Best film director and music composer in India, hans down!
