A simple beatdown would have been fine.
They could have just beat Bobbies ass and left him in the swamp.....

Brad Renfro was a beefy guy? What?
Even in the movie, Bobby was bigger than Marty? Bobby was taller, and much more sinewy/ripped. Marty was just average built guy.
But yes in real life Bobby Kent was *beep* huge, and Marty was just slightly above average type guy who lifted.
it DOES look like Marty is bigger lol but from the opening scene it's clear that Bobby is quite a bit taller. Marty is stockier but Bobby is taller.
shareI thought that they could have all got together and had Bobby on assault charges as his behaviour was way over the top aggressive and people like him always think they are above the law.I read an article once that said if you ever meet someone like this in the work place always threaten them with the police and they will soon realise that youd be more hassel for them than its worth. After all bullies only pick on vulnerable people.
And yes i agree if they had just beat him up and then walked away they would have got more satisfaction out of it,rather than resort to planned murder where they ended up being worse than him.Murder wasnt necessary.
police usually do nothing especially in the south such as florida. they care about weed and misdemeanors more than assault and such
Hurt me again its not worth saving. Heart I've spent my whole life breaking. I've been stung by wasp
Are you from Florida? I'm sorry but you give the dumbest responses to almost every single thread on this board. Maybe you should stick to Marilyn mansons washed up board.
shareI would have gone that way. a few days jail time for beating someone is a lot better then prison time for years. surprising that entire group could not figure this all out
Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today
I'm reading the book, about half-way through...I have no problem with them offing that Iranian sicko creep, the world was better off..I think his removal was actually the only real solution to him, ultimately, what he and Marty did to the poor bastard elderly retarded man who had bought groceries at their Publix pretty much branded them both as sub-human, but Marty was definitely in Bobby's thrall...I mean, even HE wanted Bobby dead just so he could break free of him.
And those two grew up in same street and were like inseparable brothers..despite Bobbys violence and cruelty towards him from pretty early on.
Just FFS at least TRY to be a little more planned and professional about it, instead of involving or boasting every teen mall-rat in Broward Cty..
Even for inexperienced lost teens this was a majorly fubar hit.
Agreed. Marty had to go and ruin his entire life by killing Bobby. I think a beatdown would've been suffice. And plus, Marty should've known that his murder plans were doomed, the minute all the local druggies started getting involved with the plotting process. The entire plan was doomed from the start. Way too many people were involved. In fact, Marty's girlfriend was the number one liability within that entire plan. She lacked common sense. And all the rest of the people involved were just as bad, especially Donny. And as in for the hitman...he was just awful. There was nothing "hitman-like" about him. He was basically just an angry dude, who always acted superior over everyone else. The hitman didn't have a plan. More importantly, since when does a hitman become involved with the plotters themselves? Nothing made sense about their plan. It was ultimate stupidity, assisted with drugs and alcohol.
