This film was shown here in the UK just last night in fact!
It wss shown on terrestrial channel BBC2 and in widescreen format (1.77:1 approximately). The sex scenes seemed pretty lusty but i would still not know whether they are trimmed down or not. At times the sex scenes are intercut with other scenes, leaving the viewer switching back and forth between a dialogue scene and the sex scenes but these scenes are still pretty raunchy...
First time i have ever come across the film and i am not the sort of person to ever sit down and decide to watch a Stephen Baldwin film. But the plot sounded interesting and the concept is worked with really well throughout to where it was surprisingly good entertainment. Baldwin still felt vacuous at times and the scripted dialogue occasionally faltered and felt the need to have characters spouting explanatory statements so as to fill the viewer in (unnecessarily) on what was happening. Other than that though, i thought the script fleshed out the conceptual ideas very well and kept the creative edge at all times, very rarely slipping into cheesy stereotypical babble and cliche.
Good stuff. An interesting (and unfairly overlooked it would seem) offering that has plenty of action, a srong pace, good character range, solid plotting and many clever ideas...
Great thing is, for once the BBC didn't have anyone chatting over the end credits either this time around, probably due to it being broadcast at 20 minutes past midnight! Saying that though, the end credits appear sped-up...
