Broken Penis - Worst Movie Scene Ever!

Can it really happen? Who cares!?! That was the dumbest scene I've ever seen in a movie!! Ever!! What were they thinking!?!?! Were they trying to copy Porky's?? (i think so).... Also the part where he hits his dad in the eye with the marshmellow, it looked too fake.

Ya think? That happens all the time to me. I'm sure it happeneds to every guy. It bends, and usually hurts...but I've never broke a "blood tube" and I've never heard of it happening to anyone else. (i guess if it did, they wouldn't brag about it)

Luke... I am your... whatever

It happened to Dennis Rodman. He talked about it on The Howard Stern show.

so what it was ment to be funny. does it really matter how funny the marshmallow in the eye thing and his penis being snapped is? god its a comody ment to be funny not to be taken seriously

reply

Hmmm... they weren't very funny... i think they were trying too hard

reply

from a girl's point of view... it was bloody hysterical

reply

Yes, it can happen. I couldn't believe it either, but I used to work as a paramedic and actually had case where a guy did that. It's called a fracture, even though no bones break, only the blood vessels. And, it's just as painful as it sounds, according to the patient I had.

Thinking about the scene and the situation itself makes me cringe so much. Same with the zipper scene from 'There's Something About Mary'. (Shudders)

Medically speaking, it's when the tunica albuginea tears and allows the blood normally confined to the corpora cavernosa (or corpus cavernosum penis, I forget which is correct... I think corpora is plural, but not sure) to leak into the surrounding tissues. It seems that, as in the case with your patient, it's very painful (as most injuries to the groin tend to be).

I agree with the OP that the scene wasn't funny, but then again, I think it was mostly meant for the shock reaction from the males (presumably the target audience). I doubt that Dizzy would have been up and walking around with a smile on his face a mere day after it happened (and dancing, no less), but that's Hollywood for you. I also noted that the prisoner in the yard kicked him in the groin (again, only a day after his initial injury) while showing Dizzy the "tiger claw"... ouch. Talk about adding insult to injury. =)

how did it happen actually? did the librarian blow him or something? where I come from they cut out that scene. and why did he have to be brought to a psychiatrist who said it's not his fault etc?

reply

I'm not really sure about the psychiatrist myself, but the librarian grabbed his penis and broke it with her hand. I mean, it's pretty clear in the US version of the movie... she grabbed it, followed him in her chair for a bit, then stood up and broke it.

I don't know what your version showed, but in the US release, it was pretty darn clear how it happened.

that scene made me uncomfortable, not because it was dumb but because he didn't knock that lady out when she was touching him like that. UGH!
