Do you think they would have tried Macaulay Culkin as Harry Potter (or maybe Malfoy) in the 1990's?

Any other ideas for the kid characters?
Rowling was adamant that it was an all-British (or British Isles) cast save for those characters who were not from there. Macaulay would not have been cast.
One thing I have thought about is, excepting for the hair color, what if Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe had been cast as Harry and Draco respectively?

I think the way they were cast was the right one, but would be funny to see them swap roles.
