If Harry had been placed in Slytherin

Do you think Snape would of been a lot warmer to Harry, or would he still of been snide and sarky to him because of James.

reply

Definitely snide and snarky.

He would be just as hateful of Harry because he would remind him of James no matter what, but may possibly be a little more cold and aloof to him as opposed to mean and vindictive. I mean, he wouldn't deduct House points from Harry was a Slytherin, right?

If Harry happened to be in Slytherin, it would have been a lot easier for Malfoy to offer him up as bait to the dark lord. Of course, he'd be friends with harry in his younger years but he'd still be a turncoat and a coward who cant choose what's right or wrong. Harry is very lucky to have great friends like Ron and Hermione. In fact, the weasleys are the closest thing to family he ever had. He should be grateful to the Sorting hat.

That is a good question, but I might have to think that he would be still snarky because James Potter would have been Harry potter's father. But this is the type of question that I would have to say that your guess is as good as mine if not better then mine.

would have

Either case you still would have asked a good question, if if you know that it would mean that Harry Potter would have gone bad if he was in Slytherin

Who would Harry's friends be if he were in Slytherin? I haven't read the books, but in the movies we only get to know Draco and his clique. I'm not sure Draco would really befriend him, but he'd likely be less antagonistic. Snape would either be a bit easier on him, or harder because of his proximity to Harry. Dumbledore would befriend him either way, but how well Harry would take to him, I don't know.

Harry hooked up with good kids in Griffindore. In Slytherin, his friends would not be as good an influence. I'm not sure if he'd get the lessons from Dumbledore that he did.

Malfoys turn him over to Voldemort, and it goes bad from there.

Other then Draco then only other students in Slytherin that i can think of are Crabbe and Goyle and they are not even main characters. As pretty much they never really spoken any really major lines in any of the movies.

There were two other male Slytherin students apart from Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle. They were Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini. I don't believe Nott was in the movies, but Blaise was in the sixth and eighth movies (he survived with Draco in the Room of Requirement) and apparently had only one line.

The girls were Pansy Parkinson, Millicent Bulstrode, and Daphne Greengrass. Pansy was in three of the movies. Millicent was referenced in the second movie, while Daphne I don't think was mentioned at all (she wasn't very known in the books either. However, Daphne's younger sister eventually married Draco.

Harry hated Dtaco as soon as they met. They would have had a very interesting rivalry if the two of them were in Slytherin. Harry liked Ron as soon as they met so I wonder if their friendship wouldn't have happened as it did, albeit without the closeness of being dormmates.
