Going Off Big Time

pretty good movie, wouldn't really call it a gangster flick like the reviewer said its more like petty theifs, compared to american gangster movies this one is candy store mafia, all in all its a good story though.

just typical northern english thuggery id say, its really funny and quote refreshing to know places they are talking about in films and recognise the accents. One of my fav lines is "were going to the Adelphi not the bloody Grafton"

It's not a bad movie although not very original and parts are very predictable but I think a big fault was in how it was marketed. On the one hand some ads made it look like another tough Brit gangster flick, and others overplayed Peter Kay's involvement and made it look like a comedy. In fact I bought it on DVD as an impulse purchase thinking it was a Peter Kay movie. I left it alone for quite a long time before watching it again and it was better than I remembered but nothing special, with a weak ending IMHO.

You never know them all.
