Will there be anyone left?!

First Mandy, then Heston, now Kevin...plus Valerie's back soon, so that suggests Karen or Mrs. Tembe going somewhere.

How WILL they deal with all the patients that are always clogging up the waiting room in both the Mill and campus surgeries?!

I also realise as I'm typing this that they never got round to replacing Chris - no wonder Mandy left, she must have had twice as many patients.

I was just wondering if they're giving the entire cast an overhaul.

They'll have to find a new nurse soon.

I live in dread of any news that Mrs Tembe is leaving - please, please don't let that ever happen!!

Another friend who watches Doctors made the point about Chris too, that they haven't even replaced him, so really, Ayesha is covering his loss, not Mandy's.

It is really disconcerting to see characters leaving one by one like this though - although are we sure Heston is going for good? He seems to have turned up again.

reply

No they haven't....they're going to have a skeleton crew. It's going to be chaos beyond what Mrs T can handle!!!

The stars came out once the lights went out & I could not speak so I had to shout

Howard's going to end up having a nervous breakdown at this rate! He likes to run a tight ship.

I'm hoping both Kevin and Heston end up staying. I would be particularly sad to see Heston go - he's a real strong, charismatic presence I feel. However I love the way this situation is bringing Howard to the fore. Any story that brings out his comic side is always entertaining for me.
And am I the only one who likes Valerie?
ps. I don't like all the characters - I wasn't too fussed when Mandy left. But I do agree with Darkshines - Mrs Tembe must NEVER leave!!

reply

I don't care who comes or goes as long as they keep up the quality and give them good storylines...today's was a bit Psychoesque, wasn't it?

Definitely - good actor that man who played the son though (Tommy?).
There's a bit of a Doctors/Eastenders swap going on at the moment. Don't know if anyone else watches Eastenders but Jas's fiance - Aaron - has just turned up in Eastenders as a market-trader and the man who is about to interview Kevin was also a doctor (Anthony) in Eastenders for a long while. Wonder where this story with Kevin's proposed new job is going? There was something sinister about the man who recommended this new job to Kevin.

I'm with you, brackenview, I hope there'll be some way Heston and Kevin get to stay after all, although I'm not sure Zara would be too happy about Kevin hanging around after all she's said about his situation.

LOL, I was going to say the same thing about Valerie - I thought I was the only person who quite liked her (most of the time). Actually, I've realised I tally with brackenview a lot because I too wasn't much bothered about Mandy leaving. I liked her but not enough to mourn her loss.

Yeah, I watch Eastenders (I used to post on that board a few years back but I find it a bit troll-ish nowadays so stay clear!). Yes, the guy who played Jas' fiance is now on EE and I did laugh when I saw 'Anthony' from EE on Doctors today. It's true, it does feel like he's playing a slightly dodgy character to me - hope Kevin doesn't fall foul of his tricks!

It was indeed, Mumsy! I was on edge the whole episode, wondering what the bereaved son was going to do. I rewatched Cast Away the other night when it was on telly so the end also reminded me of Wilson in the film, haha. I reckon Emma could also do with a 'Wilson' as she's been left all on her tod, poor woman. Al and Niamh really annoyed me in that episode with their insensitive ways.

I noticed that. It was weird to have a cushion with a face as a substitute for Tommy's mother
