shareFor an NHS practice I find the goings on here truly farcical. In reality most of us would have a 2 week wait to book an appointment. At the Mill you just randomly turn up and a member of staff, be it a receptionist or health professional, will happily have the time to neglect their duties to sort out your personal woes. Mind you since the demise of the Bill this show gives work to ex-soap stars, when it should really go to up and coming jobbing actors instead.
shareEven those of us who like the show laugh at the way the GPs in Doctors can race off and spend a whole afternoon trying to sort out a patient's non-medical crisis, despite probably having a full list of waiting patients at the surgery. Still, it wouldn't be much to watch if it was more true to life, I guess, hehe.
As for it being chock-full of ex-soap stars, of course it is, sometimes, but it also showcases newer talent very often, especially young people just starting out in the acting world.
And the police are at the practices beck and call as well as acting like social services!8
