I'm new to Doctors and have been catching up with various episodes.
My favourite characters are Ruhma, Emma and Jimmi.
I see the new series returns on Monday and hope I can make some contributions to the board.

shareYes, I've been watching the show for a while now - since 2004 I think. I was just perusing some old eps on youtube and Jimmi's virtually a young lad, wowsers!
Most on this board know I'm a big fan of Mrs Tembe. She's been my absolute favourite character from when she first started at the surgery. I also like Al... when he's not being a total pain in the whatsit, anyway! Erm, I like Daniel (for the handsome points but he's also great in comic moments). Although she's often quite loud, I do like Karen (or Gobby Hollins as she's affectionately called by some, hehe).
It's good that the Doctors cast is usually made up of a mostly likeable bunch of characters. Any which are especially nasty don't tend to remain for long.
Welcome, staggerstags, or staggsy, is it? We're a pretty friendly bunch here and don't take Doctors too seriously though there are occasionally some properly thought -provoking storylines....

One of the things I enjoy about the show is the mixture of light entertainment, humour and, as you say, the more thought-provoking stuff.
I'm absolutely loving YouTube because there are a lot of older episodes I can watch, which is great fun.

This board isn't always overly-active, but it's my favourite board when it is as I feel you can say what you want about the show without being judged. There are so many people on some of the other boards (especially Eastenders) that'll just jump down your throat for no reason.
Doctors is my favourite soap (which my workmates give me some stick for!) and it really is nice to be in the company of people on here who have some intelligent input :D

At the moment I'm in the middle of a series of episodes from January 2010 where Doctor Jimmi gets abducted and is held captive by this really weird man and woman. You may remember it? It's a really good, if sometimes creepy, story line, but huge fun!
Hmm, some of the other boards are indeed more like bear pits, aren't they!!!

Ahhh yes, the Juggins siblings - Sissy and Ivor! That was a classic storyline. Poor old Jimmi. He's been through so much in his time on the show. share

True. Years ago, I used to be a regular on the EE board but it became infested with trolls and meanies - not that I didn't give them what for sometimes, but it got too annoying to have to keep deflecting them after a while.

Mine too most of the time, ballroom babe! When the other soaps go through a bad patch, there's not much you can do but hope some good new stories turn up. With Doctors, we get great variety every day so there are always good eps every week. share
