Where does he look like Mike?

People have been saying that the actor portraying Mike Nesmith looks so much like him. Where? He doesn't look like him at all. He doesn't sound like him either. If anything, he looks just like the lead actor in An American Werewolf in London, David Naughton. VH1 movies never found the right actors to portray people. I was watching the David Cassidy movie last night and the guy playing him looks like Jared Leto. The guy they got to play Ricky Nelson was horrible too. Didn't look a thing like him. It's very distracting when they have someone that doesn't look anything like the real person they're playing. I didn't think any of the actors in the Monkees movie were good enough. The guy playing Peter didn't even have the right color eyes. Since when does Peter Tork have blue eyes? None of the guys in the movie looked like the real Monkees.

Ahaha, no. He doesn't look a thing like Mike, or even make an attempt to sound like him. People who think this movie is even 'okay' are totally nuts, this movie is one of the worst things I've ever seen.

The only time I thought he resembled Mike was during the recreation of the Fairy Tale episode. I also agree that he should have worked on the Texas Twang a bit more, too.

Yeah, I really liked his Fairy Tale scenes. In one of his first scenes, I think it was right after he got The Monkees gig, he sounded an awful lot like Mike.

I don't mind that these guys only resemble the real band members. It's close enough. Although there was one shot of "Peter" during the "All of Your Toys" segment where I thought I was looking at Peter Tork for a moment (pretty sure it wasn't the real Tork's cameo, which I haven't looked for yet).
