story is so confusing

what is all this FATE, dragon god, time devourer crap?

How you like them apples?

reply

well fate is a super computer from the future that controlles the live of every on who connects with it but only does so in order to presever the past the it knows.

dragon god is the manafestion of the magic elements that the reptites possessed and used the dragon god to protect them, and tried to use it to destroy humans.

time devourer, lavos super creature from another planet merge with super sorceress named schala and become more powerful, so powerful that it could consume and destoy time itself.

not really the complicated.

reply

and weren't the dragon gods also like seperate parts of the time devourer?

reply

dragon god was obsorded by the time devourer, in way like he did with schala, but where schala was a seperate part, she hadn't been fully intergrated. the dragon god was, and was able to use it's power to create a psuedo form, to challenge the team.

yeah, it is kind of strange actually. I kind of don't like it when games like this get a bit too fantastic, such as implications of destroying time.. They do much better to just keep their feet on the ground.

Other examples of this happening in Squaresoft games:

Xenogears. After about 60% into the story, you find out that the meaning of life is part of the game, and the origins of everything are at stake

Final Fantasy IX - Great game, but the last boss, which is 'fate' just comes out of nowhere, and you have to beat it.. I know it's important to make last bosses dramatic, but c'mon, fate?
