So-Young

What was the point of So-Young's character? I can see the connection at the end as the swot (that was once her friend), commited suicide and came back to haunt the ghost. However, I thought her character was too big for a small reasoning.

Could it just be a decoy to distract the audience from the real Jin Ju?

I believe that all the main characters (Ji-Oh, So-Young, Jung-Sook) were decoys to distract the real Jin-Ju. I mean, when it wa revealed who the real Jin-Ju was, I was literally like "O_________O"

so-young(swot) and jung-sook(evil eyed outcast) used to be best friends. throughtout the film you get the idea that jung-sooks senior years seem to be mimicking those of Jin-ju’s and Eun-youngs from the past

i.e. having a best friend, then losing her because of the teachers idea that their choice of friends might impact upon their school results.

at the end of the film jin-ju's spirit finds peace, then we find out that jung-sooks spirit has taken her place as the school "ghost".

im guessing the cycle will repeat itself again and again because the schools system is so cruel
